Job Opening - Dentist
Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) is interested in hiring a full-time or part-time dentist.
In the past, we provided dental care for our patients through a contract with an independent practice.
We want to bring dental care wholly within our organization by starting a dental practice. We plan to focus on preventative dental care for our current patient population of just over 6,000.
We are located on the north side of Goshen, IN. We care for patients regardless of age, gender, ability to pay, language, or immigration status.
MCHCC is proud to be one of the 31 primary care clinics nationwide selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a LEAP site due to innovation in primary care delivery. In addition, because we are a Federally Qualified Health Center, professional employees are eligible for NHSC service and loan repayment. Our HPSA score for dental care is 21.
As we start this new venture, we are eager to hire a dentist who shares our mission and values and who desires to help us create and shape this new in-house service.
Our model of care includes cooperative and collaborative clinical teams made up of physicians, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, behavioral health therapists, social workers, and nutritionists. We seek to mirror this cooperation and collaboration within our new dental clinic.
We plan to hire dental support staff and purchase equipment for procedures and diagnostic testing. We recently purchased an adjacent home and property and will look to ready it for use as the dental clinic. We have a small in-house pharmacy for easy access to 340B medications for patients. We qualify for federal malpractice coverage.
Our medical teams currently use eClinicalWorks for our EMR and we would likely expand this for dental records. We currently use Azara as our population health management system and are proud of our quality scores for cancer screenings, vaccinations, and chronic health maintenance when compared to others in the state and across the nation.
Schedule and hours for dental care are yet to be determined. On the clinical side, a full-time physician’s schedule is typically 8 AM - 6 PM, four days per week with Wednesday or Thursday off depending on clinical team. We will work to establish after-hours phone call coverage for dental care. We will consider part-time employment.

Fluent Spanish speaking providers also receive a salary increase due to being able to practice without the need for interpreters.
Qualifications: Indiana license. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
