The Day Lizeth Died
Lizeth was a medical assistant who worked for Maple City Health Care Center in the early 00’s. Lizeth arrived in the morning for work on a day that was unusually busy, even for Maple City Health Care Center, because of a Medicaid audit that was demanding the attention of James and Jennifer.

The Hug
Prior to the election in 2008, Maple City Health Care Center registered new voters. We put up signs in our waiting lobby and we used our digital signage system to encourage people to register. All the signs and the registration forms were in both Spanish and English. Our front desk folks asked each patient if they were interested in registering or needed to change their address.

The Invasion
The basement at Maple City can be a dark and scary place. Rows of shrouded shelves entomb ancient records. The hulking guts of pipes and furnace ducts obscure vision and force a posture of defense. Even the most adventurous members of Maple City’s staff hesitate to brave the basement and when they do, they go in pairs.
